I want to be considered and contacted for job opportunities with Profil International's clients. What should I do?
Then, please register and submit your detailed CV online. Your CV will be kept in our proprietary database and continuously assessed for career opportunities available through our clients. Using your username and password, you can update it any time as needed. Upon registration, you will also start receiving automated notification messages (job alerts) that match your criteria.
When I submit my CV, what are the following steps?
If you have applied to a specific (advertised) position;
- The relevant consultant evaluates your application.
- If your CV is considered suitable to the position in question, our consultant will contact you first.
- If you and our consultant agree to do so, we have an initial interview with you.
- After the initial interview, if you are still a potential candidate for the position, further interviews take place with us and later with our client until a final decision is made. We will ask you to participate in a number of in-depth assessments to ensure that the job is the right opportunity for you.
- If you are not contacted upon your application, this may indicate that the evaluation process is still continuing or that no match was observed.
- At the end of the evaluation process, if you will not be receiving an offer for the particular position and you have applied online, we will notify and thank you for your interest either through a phone call or e-mail.
- We will consider your information for future career opportunities. On your side, we expect you to update your CV periodically and whenever there is a change in your contact information or job. As a guiding principle, updated CVs are always privileged.
If you have NOT applied for a specific position (i.e. made a general application);
- Your CV will be continuously evaluated for career opportunities available through our clients.
- Our consultants will get in touch with you first, as soon as there is a relevant job opportunity that might suit your credentials.
- You should update your CV periodically and whenever there is a change in your contact information, current job or professional interests. As a principle, updated CVs are always privileged.
When I apply, when should I expect to hear from you?
If you have just registered your CV (i.e. general application), our consultants may not contact you if we do not have career opportunities that might suit your credentials. We aim for the "right fit", an optimum match of the person and the job. This might be within weeks or months, sometimes years upon your application. However, as long as you keep your information complete and up-to-date about yourself, you will be considered for potential career opportunities for the duration of your professional career.
Please make sure that you specify your career objective and professional preferences. This could cover possible organizations and positions you would like to consider, as well as your reasoning behind your preferences.
It is very important that my information is kept confidential. How do you ensure that?
At Profil International confidentiality of information regarding our clients and candidates is an utmost priority. All of our consultants and researchers are well aware of the ethical principles. They receive periodic training on relevant techniques and procedures to maintain the confidentiality of client and candidate information. Some of our standard confidentiality procedures are listed below:
- We do not share your identification information (such as name, current employer and position) with our clients, only after we receive your permission to do so.
- Even if, without knowing, you happen to apply to a position at your current employer, this application will be kept confidential.
- Our CV files are physically secured, and our database is secured against outsiders.
I have applied to a position, but haven't received a response yet. What does this mean?
This means that the evaluation process is still continuing or that no match was observed. We aim to a response, as soon as the evaluation is completed. In some cases the project might be suspended or the project deadline is extended due to various reasons. In such cases, you might need to check with us about the situation.
Do you charge a fee to candidates (professionals)?
No. We do NOT charge any fee to our candidates either upon application, assessment, or placement.
I want to update my CV. What should I do?
The easiest way is to update your CV online. E-mail applications or updated are not recommended, since this would significantly delay or hinder the assessment of your credentials.
My CV has not changed. Should I still update it?
Yes. If you do not update, your CV will appear as out-of-date in our records even if your job and contact information is the same. We advise you to update your CV once a year, even if there has been no change in your current job or contact information.
I want to have an interview or at least introduce myself to one of your consultants in person. What should I do?
We appreciate applications of high calibre executives and professionals. Yet, we are still bound by needs of our clients, therefore concentrate our interviews by those needs and their active positions.
You can still help us reach your information, which will eventually increase the chance for a contact that may lead to a possible match.
- As a first rule, e-mail applications would have little chance. However, if you have little time to complete your full profile, you can register your basic information and paste your classical (text) CV. Although this would have less chance to be located during a search, it would be much more effective than a simple email.
- If you are fluent in English, we definitely prefer your CV to be written in English.
- Rather than waiting for one of our consultants to identify you as a potential candidate in a large database, you could also keep track of new job ads and apply as needed. Online members are automatically notified regarding new job opportunities.
- Please provide solid details of your work experiences, especially regarding recent positions such as your title, reporting relationships, activities, responsibilities and achievements.
- A clear statement of your objectives and preferences (in the Career Objective section) would also help us identify and assess you as a possible match for job opportunities.
